Luxe Southbank Retreat free car park, swimming pool

Great area would be cautious booking with this group again Positive: Location very quiet area. Apartment neat and tidy. The staff member, when I called to confirm if I could alter my checkin time, as my email was not answered, was friendly. Negative: Communication and questions via booking.com messages were not answered. Instructions were lacking. 1st via booking.com, then via email with no indication that next message was via sms. There were no instructions/signs on level pool &gym located. We just swiped in the lift and requested levels until it was accepted. No cutlery knifes at all. Blinds that did not open all the way and curtains that were not hung properly nor were there enough to cover the windows.

Positive: Location was great cafe and restaurant just below. Walking distance to supermarket also close to tram stop. Has kitchen and washing facilities in the apartment. Negative: Apartment was not cleaned properly, bed linen was dirty from previous guests and just remade using same sheets. Stained pillow left in wardrobe. We decided to go buy new linen to sleep on. Kitchen was not wiped down, finger prints and marks on all cupboards. Fridge and microwave also had not been cleaned. Toenail clippings left on balcony floor. curtains were shoved in drawers in bedroom, broken mirror also placed in wardrobe instead of being thrown out. 12v Small battery and hat left in drawer in bedroom also. Bathroom wall had a lot of stains around where you hang towels. Could be a nice place to stay if more care to maintain the Aparment was done. Communication could also be improved as I had to contact booking.com before our stay to receive a reply not very responsive through messaging. They did however answer our call straight away on arrival to send our code to pick up our key

Positive: Great location with easy access to the city and surrounds via St Kilda road. Negative: A bit more up front communication around accessing the property carpark etc and key return would have helped.

A cute quiet apartment but they need new cleaners! Positive: It is a perfect apartment for a quiet getaway. Negative: Dirty pans in the drawer & dirty towels from previous tenants. Only pillow cases were fresh, bed sheets were not! Couch was uncomfortable to sit on. TV is floor level??? The TV in the bedroom was 4 x the size of the one in the lounge.
